Suspension and load transfer of the foundations of the Moscavide Viaduct










CONCEPTUAL DESIGN / SERVICES CARRIED OUT
Creation of two side supports, materialized by piles ∅ 2.00m, outside the limits of the deck of the viaduct. Subsequent execution of a large prestressed concrete beam, monolithic with the original pile caps.
The load transfer from original foundations for the new ones, was performed by hydraulic equipments.
Finally, the original piles were cut and then the caps of the new piles were bonded with the large beam with a 2nd stage concrete pouring.
