Geotechnical

The Geotechnical department has contributed over the years for studies and construction projects of great importance, such as:

Geological Studies and Geotechnics Designs
  • Planning, conducting and reporting of geological-geotechnical surveys;
  • Definition of geological and geotechnical settings for ground foundation design;
  • Seismological studies;
  • Geodynamics analysis.
Underground Structures
  • Tunnels and caverns:
    • Use of various construction methods: NATM; TBM; and Cut and Cover;
    • Prediction of ground movements and impacts on superficial structures;
    • Support for selection of construction methods;
  • Pits/wells.
