Bridge over the Despe-te Que Suas riverside



CONCEPTUAL DESIGN / SERVICES CARRIED OUT

Stay-cable deck with a central suspension solution over a very deep valley, with the towers grounded directly in the births of the deck. The towers have a inverted “V” shape, with a small backwards inclination, and are connected with the deck. The stay-cables are externally balanced with lateral cables connected to retention chambers, anchored in rocky terrain. The deck cross section have two pre-stress concrete beams, connected transversely to the reinforced concrete slab and steel cross beams with a composite behaviour. The deck have a joint in the mid-span.
