Rehabilitation of the Rua Ramalho Ortigão viaduct



CONCEPTUAL DESIGN / SERVICES CARRIED OUT

Replacing the central span with 10 m of "Gerber" girder by a steel-concrete composite box girder. Application of carbon fiber sheets in the webs of the cantilever box girder of the longitudinal system. Application of carbon fiber strips in the upper surface of the deck slab in transverse direction. Replacement of the support bearings of the “Gerber” girder and extend of the support zone of the bearings. Reshaping of the vertical alignment. Rehabilitation of concrete pathologies. Rehabilitation and replacement of equipment.
